[SOLVED] Hot Cue Fail?

When calling a hot cue with quantize enabled on the cdj2000nxs, i understand that pressing the button multiple times within a single beat still only outputs the cue on the downbeat; however, often times i find myself pressing the button twice for every beat (once on the down beat and again on the upbeat) to hedge the risk of missing/skipping a beat (ie coming in late and the cue jumping to the next downbeat rather than the one intended). 100% of the time after hitting the hot cue for the last time on the final downbeat, it goes for one more 'unintended' beat. For example, let's say I want to have a hot cue triggered on downbeats 1, 2, 3, 4, 1; instead of pressing 5 times (1, 2, 3, 4, 1) I'll press 9 times (1, +, 2, +, 3, +, 4, +, 1). Every time I do this, the hot cue triggers a 10th time without me hitting it on the next beat (2). Anyone else experiencing this?

@Fox > In this instance (rapidly pressing the hot cue buttons) I think you may be better off turning off Quantize. If, for example, you are trying to create a 4 beat loop using a hot cue, with Quantize enabled, then you should press the hot cue directly after you've heard the 3rd beat - that way, the CDJ will play until the 4th beat and then jump back to the hot cue first beat. If the track plays just a little beyond the 4th beat before you press the hot cue then you are going to have five beats before the hot cue jumps back.

I hope I'm explaining myself clearly / understanding you correctly. Perhaps you might post a quick video if you get the time just to make sure...
