[SOLVED] CDJ buttons all going off whenever they want

Big problem. Doing my weekly radio show; one of my CDJ-2000s (a unit I got to replace one that arrived with a dead drive) randomly just started... skipping. It seems like all the buttons are misbehaving, really - it switches in and out of vinyl mode, etc. It's just going bonkers. I can't use it; it's completely unreliable. So I'm on air right now with literally nothing I can do. I know I drink around my decks so I tried to make sure this isn't something I can blame on myself but there's absolutely NO signs that there's been any physical or water damage to the unit and it played fine the last show I did and hasn't really been touched in the past week.

I desperately need it back in working order by next week - is there any way pioneer can facilitate this? I'm willing to ship it anywhere or drop it off anywhere in the Philadelphia area, I just really, really need this sorted - and ASAP! I can't be without this deck.

a quick fix "might" be to try and update the firmware on the deck to the latest 1.11. do you know what version you are on?

i'm on 1.10 but i don't see how that would affect anything and have heard sketchy things about 1.11 - all indications point to it being a physical fault or short inside the unit. both decks are on 1.10 and have been since august of last year without exhibiting anything even close to resembling this behavior. i tried to look into whether or not this was a known issue with 1.10 but could find no indication of that, and since using Pro DJ link will require me to update both decks I'm hesitant to do that as I'm likely to have it repaired under warranty should the upgrade not fix the issue and would rather not do that unless i've heard from someone with specific knowledge of a way that would fix it.

Gotcha. I would have it repaired since its under warranty still. It could be too many different things. For instance it could be either a loose ribbon cable or a bad faulty board. Hard to tell

@jean luc > Absolutely do not delay in sending in the unit for exchange / repair under warranty from wherever you bought it or, alternatively, call Pioneer customer service to arrange it for you.
