there isnt much you can do unfortunately, I know it sucks, I replace these boards a lot unfortunately
you could try blowing air into the port just to make sure no debris is caught up in the connections, other then that, "your port is effed"
I've done some research on Google and here on finding possible solutions to my problem. Essentially, one day link works on my players, the next day it doesn't. I found that if I lift the cable just a tad bit on the suspecting CDJ, they begin to link. If I barely let go, the connection is gone. I've tried new cables, a Cat5e and Cat6 with molded ends, but that doesn't do the trick.
besides the obvious "your port is effed", what else can I do to temporarily relieve this. Thanks!

@Joseph > It sounds like a hardware issue for which I can only recommend you contact technical support so they can provide greater assistance.
Look into your Ethernet port, and check the gold contacts, the first cdj I got that didn't work these were mangled and clearly out of line.
@Gavin - could you possibly email me a contact that looks into issues. The issues with the 2 cdjs that i have have had (1 was replaced and now the replacement is in for repair, but the parts out of stock)the money I've spent, aswell as the money lost while the replacement deck is away for repair isn't acceptable.
Rather than rant and rave on here I'd like to converse with someone who can look into this and sort it.
Thanks
Honestly, the only Pioneer authorized repair shop in town sucks. They charged an arm and a leg to "fix" my past 800s. Needless to say, they were still broken.
Has anyone had success with using a computer repair place? Also, can the Link port be replaced with a more robust one? I don't want this happening again -_-

from my personal experience, the boards they ship for repair have the same issues, I replaced one a month or so ago and the port is broken again, the guy is pissed off to say the least. If you know a place that has great soldering experience they can most likely desolder the crap one on there now and put in a better one a lot cheaper then buying a $280 board
I found a computer shop in town that will replace the port, but they can't order one themselves. Besides the original port, does anyone have suggestions on a better port? Does the original part only work with the CDJ-2000? Seriously, I'm not going to spend more money, to then spend more money later.
@cdjbasile > I would advise you to contact technical support in your area and request to speak to customer care.
@Guzman > As it is entirely a hardware issue, I can't comment as I don't know. I believe there is a parts warranty with all official parts so to custom fit another unit may lead to increased problems further along.
How long is the parts warranty for? I bought these second hand from a gentleman who had use them a little over year already.
@Joseph > I believe it is one year if installed by an authorised tech.
