[CLOSED] REMOTE - BOX ... Simple Question ... Should this be a reason for Nexus customers to celebrate or prepare to throw in the towel

My thinking back in September 2012, was purchasing a BRAND NEW set of 2000 Nexus's would mean I would be buying into a concept that would be FUTURE PROOFED for at leased 2 and a half years. An investment of my £3000 in something that would be the 2012 - 2015 INDUSTRY STANDARD/

 

Today's announcement from Pioneer - to me personally - is a complete smack in the face and suggests things are moving on, the Nexus has not had a proper update since Xmas - the current firmware is faulty as numerous others have commented.

 

The New software "Remote Box" looks fantastic and exactly what Rekordbox SHOULD BE.

 

Facts are ...

 

A) We have Firmware that numerous people have comment is unreliable and has so many bugs the engineers are completely OVER-Whelmed by the sheer task of getting these players ... these INDUSTRY STANDARD players "Professionally Club Standard & reliable" & working 100%

B) They are NOT Serato HID compatible - unlike the CDJ2000s

C) Record Box is slow, it crashes the CDJ and is not as reliable as Serato or Traktor as a sheer "Music management tool"

D) Are my current decks about to be super - seeded by something that actually works ... unlike the Nexus (Ive STILL got the Hard Disk loosing file bug - Something that Ive repeatedly posted since Sept in this forum)

E) I really feel quite let down - The Aero was able to search for tracks LIVE on the IPad with a HD plugged in, and this has never been confirmed or deigned by Pio - If it was coming to the Nexus, just "something we will look at"

Instead of releasing lots of other water down products ...

Why don't your RnD team & tech people concentrate on getting YOUR FLAGSHIP MODEL ... WORKSING CORRECTLY, listening to loyal working DJs who are telling you - your all singing all dancing product is NOT UPTO STANDARD.

Ive had my decks since Sept 2012, its nearly 9 months and we have had NO MOVEMENT on many issues.

Im actually gutted today - watching that video, thinking ... why can that brand new unit, properly priced 50% LESS than both of my Nexus, do all that when your flagship ... promised so much but as completely FAILED TO DELIVER.

 

The CDJ 2000 Mk1 is the club standard, club owners will not touch the Nexus, and with the idea things are about to move on again ... Im just completely gutted.

People might thinks im over reacting and been irrational - but Ive spend my £3000, I think I deserve better.

... From a very unhappy Pioneer Customer (after todays news).

they need to update the Nexus soon

they need to have Remotebox work with the Nexus or at least add some of the search/browsing features to an improved RB app

lets just wait and see .... we have no announcements from Gavin.

Most of the time he gives clear statements...  maybe he can give us some more information.

But of course I agree with you ..

I agree, Gavin, when he knows something has been honest, but we are still in a situation with equipment that doesnt work
