It used to do that ... you could take the drive to rekordbox and it would ask if you wanted to convert the tag list to a playlist.
Which model / firmware is this on?
Why can't the usb external keep the tag list stored? in RB we can do that and when linked it's nice for quick easy background stuff or horns, etc.... instead of having to navigate to a playlist I can just hit tag list but on the usb drive i have to set this up every time I plug in the drive, Can't it just keep the tagged files in the tag area until we clear it manually like in the actually RB app?

Right, which I believe it still does but then it deletes the tag list on the usb drive, would be cool if it kept the tag list as is so every time I plug the drive in and use it, I can quickly access the tag list every time, sometimes it's quicker to access the tag list view vs a playlist for a couple of tracks I like to jump to quick like sires, horns, etc...
I think its important to remember that it is a Tag List, not a Playlist. If you are using the same tracks over and over again at gigs, then it would suggest that these specific tracks should be in their own playlist rather than a Tag List. My understanding of the tag list is that I'm searching through my database and think "oooh... that would work well later" or "oh, I forgot about that track" then I could send it to someplace I would remember it. By offering the option to create a playlist of the tag list when connected to rekordbox, the software is giving you the option to remember those tracks on a more permanent basis ;)
exactly but in the app on the macbook, the tag list stays saved and i got used to very quick access to those files by just pressing tag list and not having to go back to my playlist and then into another playlist.
It's obviously no big deal, it was just nice having that and now when that I can use the USB drive again because the slowness was fixed, I miss it
@BriChi > I've raised it with the engineers to discuss the performance and see which functionality should be expected.
thank you sir!
