The problem is that the vast majority of music is under 180 and most BPM detection engines are written to capture a certain range of BPMs (even Serato allows you to adjust the BPMs down as the typical default bottom-end is 80, but they allow you to drop it to 60, but that brings the top end of the range down by 20BPM as well).
My suggestion would be to put the true BPM of the track into another field (such as the comment) and use that for reference and your ears to mix.
