Engineers are still investigating and appreciate your patience!
Sorry I deleted the other post thinking it was a new one I was updating.
2 TB WD passport not working on either one of my CDJ 2000 Nexus'.
I have checked everything there is to check from my end and am asking for Pioneer's help on this. Given my post had been here for some time and no input from Pioneer Mods, I am basically on stand by until one of you reaches out to me.
-WD passport 2TB USB 3.0
-formatted to FAT32
-bus powered
-5V 2A (as the CDJ claims to handle)
-checked to make sure there is no hidden partition on the HDD
-7 other HDDs and thumb drives of mixture of brands work in both CDJs so it's just this drive
-HDD works perfectly on 2 of my PC's and laptop so its not the HDD
Your help is appreciated.

@walter_white > I'm just following-up on this thread; are you still having issues with the drive and the player?
I am still having issues meaning the CDJ's are not reading my HDD. Having said that, I have recently purchased a MBP and it doesn't recognize the drive either. The HDD is certainly formatted to FAT but I am assuming now that there is some partition or something in there that is causing this.
I am leaning towards this NOT being a CDJ issue. Before I got my hands on the Mac, I had no way of determining this as I checked and checked to make sure it was FAT.
I can report back if you link when I troubleshoot it to get it going.
Also, on a different matter, can I reach you by email to ask you something?
Are you sure the drive is FAT32?
When you connect the drive to your computer, it should still show the drive being attached even if it can't display it... here's a sample of the Mac Disk Utility:

This image shows two USB drives connected; the name of the partition shows below the drive mount itself (500.11 GB Seagate FreeAgent would be the device name, the usable drive is named Macintosh HD - OS ML).
If you connect your drive and only see the upper item but not a sub-item, the partition itself is not mounting to the operating system and could simply be unreadable.
If you connect it to a Windows machine, this is what you might expect to see this:

Note there is a "Disk 1" Which shows up with a single 931.51GB partition, but it has no drive letter associated with it -- that disk wouldn't show up under "My Computer" because while it has content, it is either not readable or not assigned to a drive letter.
So yeah, there are a few reasons why your drive might be misbehaving. If you have the ability and technical know-how to get it up and running again (if there is data on it), that would be the best first step, but if you don't mind wiping it and starting from scratch, that's the other option.
Pulse, I am moving on Thursday. Please leave this open for me an I will write back once settled. I am sure it's FAT but will go over above post.
Thanks.
@walter > No worries, good luck with the move!
