[SOLVED] CDJ 900 Nexus - traktor problem

yes, very bad, we realized this too - after buying two of those decks...

No answer and no support at all, neither from Pioneer nor from NI, also no update or patch found for this.

I bought also 2x 900 nexus decks and I become completely crazy !! the same problem and the seller didn't tell me! no support for those... even not from Pioneer or NI... 

what a shame ! If I knew that, I bought 2x 2000 nexus !!! :-/

Shit well this is shocking how on earth can they put out a new product bragging about it and not fix it!!! Shocking well please MSG me if u find a work around

Just to remember everyone that Pioneer has nothing to do with hid implementation in Traktor. It's up to Native Instruments to decide which controllers support. So if NI says yes, just wait for the Traktor update, if no welcome to the cdj850 hell.

Yeah heard that it lays with NI that was reason I went for new nexus 900 cos seen all probs with CDj 850.... Thought this wud be ok stupidly....

Yep I, have the same issue.  Attention PIONEER, get this issue sorted out soon,  Im just about to to retune these. How can you put out product with out testing ish out..  Pretty pissed right now and very disappointed

Fabio is correct, it's up to Native Instruments to make an update to Traktor to allow them to work. The same thing happened when the 2000NXS came out, it took NI a few months to update their software. 

In the meantime, enjoy using your new decks in the 'proper' manner, i think you'll prefer it than having to use laptop/traktor.... and if you are on a mac you can use rekord buddy to painlessly convert your entire traktor library into rekordbox format. all your grids, loops, cues etc.

I don't agree at 100% with that. 

Ok it's a problem with Traktor for the non-support of 900 nexus but there's also a problem with the HID implementation of the decks ! 

Someone told me on facebook that there will be an update of the firmware in a few days... we'll see but it's fu##ing unbelievable that we must wait to enjoy completely that new products... Pioneer has got experience with turntables & dj software, why didn't they product a new cdj directly compatible???

I don't find that normal, it's my mind 

a sentence starting with "someone told me on facebook" is not really conforting :) if there are, and I say IF, any hid issue in the firmware that need to be fixed, once done, wont make the 900nxs magically works with traktor.. and by the way, since I have them, I no longer use traktor.. not that I used it a lot before, but now is gone forever! why buying the 900nxs to use them as a controller for traktor? u wont get any waveform on them and still have to look at the notebook.. grab a pair of old 900 instead. no more notebook in my booth!!

That "someone" phoned to the Pioneer dj service in France and that's the answer he got. 

If I want to link to traktor, it's easier for me to pick up my music in my hard disk than burn everything on a cd or copy on a usb key... (rekorbox is not the best way for me to use it as dj software for mixing)

Why didn't I buy a cdj-900 instead the nexus?? because I wanted the last generation of the decks and the price is cheaper than the 2000 nexus ;-)

I simply do not understand Pioneer. Y'all got the HID MODE working with the cdj900. Why in the hell would they have it work with the new 900nexus. I work with rekord box and traktor. It nice to have the option of using either or.

PIONEER work it out before I toss all these things out.

there is no way for what I know that a customer support disclose such infos over the phone with just someone who call them up. dj web sites would be flooded with such kind of informations, and I never read a line during the years about anything before it actually happened. but hey, just my 2 cents :)

to Rizla this is what I can say, 900 and 900nxs are 2 different machines.. if the 900nxs would be called 950nxs would you be complaining right now? I mean an entire word "nexus" after the number is not enough to make it clear they are not the same? if it is how I hope(I also do want traktor to work, why not?), it would be just matter to have traktor recognize properly the new 900nxs on the network.. or do you think that 900 and 900nxs by just sharing half of the name, are also seen the same in a network connection. their hid part could(COULD)be identical as all of us hope, but on the network, their ID is surely different.

yesterday, there was a firmware update for the nexus but there's no correction for the hid mode :-/

I think that we have to wait an update of all dj softwares. I tried Serato, Cross DJ and they can't support the decks...

imo there's no correction to be made for hid, just wait for the software to support it.

HID support for Traktor and Serato can only be added in software updates BY NATIVE INSTRUMENTS AND SERATO, not in a firmware update by Pioneer.

The 900 Nexus supports HID, it's up to NI and Serato to add that support to their products.

Ok so this maybe of a little bit of help. I have 2 x cdj900 my old djm400 on mac book pro with the old version of tractor, version 1.5. Now up until about 3 weeks ago my system was working all of a sudden this just stopped. i have deleted the program and re installed ever tried a friends cdj900s and my normal mac book. Good news is i don't now how but this system was working for over a year. Currently the audio goes through the decks as it should but they will not work as the Midi controllers they are designed to even when i have the trail version 2.5. so this means it was a problem some where allowing the decks to read the computer. if i put them on virtual dj they do work but only through 1 channel, so this been said it has to be a problem with tractor its self. But of course there is no tech support you can contact to fix this problem. My decks says connected but in the menu settings the link status says not connected. 

Oh and may i also say, this problem occurred before i update tractor, my mac or the decks them selves

THE CDJ900nexus IS FULLY ABLE TO SUPPORT HID. IT IS UP TO THE SOFTWARE PROVIDERS TO SUPPORT ITS IMPLEMENTATION.

If there is an update, we will let you know.
