Folgen[OPEN] ONGOING ISSUES WITH CDJ 2000! PLEASE HELP
Right, the video says it all really, basically been having this same ongoing issue for ages now when using my cdj2000's with the rekordbox link via a wired LAN connection through my virgin media super hub 2 (UK based) which is brand new. I have used numerous hubs/routers thinking it was their fault or my ISP's problem but it seems like it is not them causing it as I have tried making a mix tonight with my brand new hub and the exact same thing has happened again which is soooooo frustrating. Every time I am having a mix with my cdj2000's or recording one I get this same recurring buffering issue which sometimes happens mid mix which is the last thing any Dj wants and its not just once, it happens lots and i dont like making short mixes either.
I have had nothing but problems the last 4 years of owning these decks whne connecting them with the rekordbox link and never had the problems resolved. I haven't been able to connect wireless to them via reckord box for way over a year now probably 2 but thats not a problem atm i just want this buffering problem sorted. Could it be anything to do with the ASIO settings on the drivers, I no longer have them installed on my laptop but would need to plug the decks into my laptop via a USB which i haven't got on me tonight. I have wasted so much money time and effort over the years trying to get these to work as they should and its just not happening and when it does work it never lasts long which is not what you expect from PIONEER! The only way around it is to go back to my technics and mix my old vinyl or just use my cdj2000's with cds and usb sticks which defeats the whole point of having them with rekordbox!
is there a uk number for the dj dept that i can call as well as i am totally fed up. I have been djaying for about 18 years now and never had so much trouble up until the last few years of owning these. they work fine when connected through a USB stick.
Please could somebody from pionner or anyone help as this is really bugging me now :(
Thanks
Adam

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for the response, appreciate it, no I don't have them separate, I was actually thinking this the other day but what would be the best way to do this, a network switch or something else? I think my vaio has an option in the smart network settings but I don't know exactly how it works in all honesty. I know a few technical things but don't want to mess too much in case I make things worse. Fortunately my brother is an IT manager so i will get him to help me out. any tips would be appreciated though. If this works I will be very happy although for now i am just exporting tracks to an external device which is almost as good anyway and so far is hassle free, I just like the fact i can have them set up the other way though.
Cheers
Adam
Hello Adam
That superhub is a pile of crap. Stick it into modem mode. Get a proper cable router and your problem will be solved. No ISP is going to give you anything decent for free.
I'm going to echo @Ben's sentiment when I point out that the network device you're using is a cablemodem, which more than likely has traffic management or other functions which are impeding the communication of the traffic across the DJ LINK network. Quite simply put, some routers will see the traffic generated by the CDJs as harmful and thus block it or throttle it WAY down. I suggest you try using an unmanaged network hub or switch, not a router, and try not having it connected to the internet.
Hello guys
Thought I had replied to this. the superhub does indeed suck but even using modem mode doesn't help, tried this numerous times and given up. I also play video games a lot and it causes me nothing but trouble with that as well on certain titles when playing online. when i move house again i will ensure i dont go with virgin! superhub was a massive mistake. just gonna have to use my more reliable flash drive and get over it :(
cheers
