[SOLVED] Cdj2000 nexus wifi setup

Hi Everyone, I finally got my cdj2000nexus to connect via wifi. I just had two questions, I'm sorry if they have been answered already but I did search this forum. 1. When I power on the players and the router at the same time, I don't get the wifi link to my iPad, and the jog wheels do turn red and white for whichever is on /off air. 2. If I power up my cdjs about a few minutes after I have powered up my router, I can connect via my iPad without a problem but the jog wheels stay white. Not getting the red dials on air. Does anyone have any views on why this happens. I'm using a belkin router. Thanks

Hi, I'm using a Djm 900 Nexus which is also connected to the router with a lan cable.

The red color on the jog wheel is related to the mixer only, not on how you power up all the equipment. You have to set up the cdjs so the channel number on the mixer is same with the number of the lan connection. For example cdj1 is connected to mixer channel 1 and shows also 1 on link connection.

Thanks Tasos, the setup is clear and thats how its hooked up. only that if the red dials work then the wifi does not and vice versa. Earlier i was using a switch/hub without wifi and that worked like a breeze 100percent always.

Which wifi router, make/model are u using

The settings on the router should be on auto. The standard settings almost always do the work. That means for example that dhcp should be on, also the pnp. If your cdj's do display a number (1,2,3 or 4) on connection settings, that means that they are connected and good to go. But. If you connect them to specific mixer channel then you have to ensure that they display the same number (as i told you before)  on the lan connection. If not, then you have to go to the cdj's menu and set that (same) number manual. Then you got them connected and the red light on the jog is working with the correct mixer-channel.

Got setup: 2xcdj2knexus, djm900 nexus, one windows 8.1 laptop all connected to:

SWITCH: TL-SF1005D: http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?categoryid=&model=TL-SF1005D

2 ports from CDJ's, 1 port from DJM900, 1port from laptop and one port from router to this switch (all 5 ports used)

ROUTER: TL-WR720N http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-WR720N

All works good (on air status, quantize etc) , only sometimes playing via recordbox from laptop causes random emergency loops, which you can exit within seconds but think it is more firmware issue on cdjs.
