[CLOSED] BPM on 350s innacurate, and fluctuating despite Rekordbox

Hi there.

Basically, today I updated my RekordBox library (added and removed tracks) and exported the changes to memory stick. Now, when I use my Memory stick on my CDJ 350s the BPM readings are initially very inaccurate. Some tracks are 30-40bpm out to start with. After 30 or so seconds the BPM fluctuates and then plateaus leaving me with a constant BPM. It seemed that before today my CDJs would know the accurate BPMs at the start of the song before I played it and stayed constant right until the end.

Anyone know what is up with this? Pretty annoyed as I've only had these CDJs for a few days and Rekordbox promises accuracy.

Any help is much appreciated.

@Myles > Have you analysed the tracks in dynamic mode rather than normal?

I mostly play house so always analyse in 'normal'. I have tried literally everything: playing around with all the settings, removing all of my music from my USB stick, Uninstalling everything from RB, uninstalling RB and then reinstalling, but problem prevailed.

In a last desperate attempt I tried reformatting my USB sticks and restoring them back to factory settings (so it was like using brand new USB sticks), and this resolved the problem. BPM readouts are now accurate and don't take 30 seconds to load. I would like to know what happened to the USB sticks that made them unable to work properly with my CDJs / Rekordbox - I know for a fact they aren't faulty as they worked fine before this problem started to arise. Any ideas? Wouldn't like this problem to randomly happen again

Thats weird. I'm wondering if your exported data had become (semi-) corrupted somehow.... Possibly removing a USB stick before it was safe to do so or perhaps rekordbox corrupted it somehow during an update.

Just out of curiosity (I don't expect it'll help much) what OS are you on and what brand USB sticks do you use?

I'm using Windows 8 and Sandisk memory sticks.

@Myles > You don't happen to have alternative USB sticks to Sandisk do you? Would you mind trying as Sandisk have given us some errors in the past.
