Hello, I just got two brand new CDJ 2000 NXS-M's today. I purchased them online and when I hooked them up I noticed one was not switching to vinyl mode when I hit the jog mode button (It just stays on the green CDJ mode and does not switch to the blue VINYL mode). I was able to switch from cdj to vinyl mode on one of the players, but not the other. I tried unplugging everything other than the power cord and restarting the player, but still it won't change. I tried updating to the latest firmware but the problem persists. Is it a bad CDJ? I really need vinyl mode because I don't like to play in CDJ mode. Any suggestions are welcome, I have been searching the net all day and can't find anything similar to my problem.

This may be a button or a firmware issue. Please try to export your player settings (with vinyl mode on) for example to USB stick and import them on this failured CDJ. If it will switch to vinyl mode after "my settings" load, its a button issue. If not, may be some firmware problem.
@Nattyice > I would try re-flashing the firmware. Failure for it to work after an update may show the button contact is bad, at which point I suggest you return it to the retailer or contact Pioneer technical support for repair or replacement.

Thank you both for your comments, it is greatly appreciated. If I can't get it to work, it is definitely still under warranty (I just checked) and I will be sending it to pioneer for repair.

OK, so I did what both of you said to do, I re-flashed the firmware, reset to factory settings, and then did the settings switch. The vinyl did turn on, so I realized it must be the button because when I kept pushing the button, I eventually was able to turn it back to cdj and then to vinyl again. I think the button wasn't properly set in the factory because after pushing the button repeatedly a little harder than normal, I was able to switch back and forth, with it able to change between vinyl and cdj mode. I don't think I have to send it in for repair afterall and I am super pleased because after jamming on these for a couple of hours I am super stoked!! I believe that pioneer did a great job on these players and I hope to keep these for many years to come. Hey Pulse, please tell Pioneer to not make a new better CDJ for at least 5 years!! Just kidding :)
Happy i could help ;) My advice is to watch all of the 2000nexus tutorial videos from Pioneer because they are very helpful for not so advanced users and outshines some new functions step by step;)
