this is normal, on the light setting obviously things are "more loose" so the rollers are not as tight and make "plastic on plastic" noises like you are hearing. Nothing is wrong with them

definitely not a defect, it coudl have probably been designed a little bit better to avoid plastic on plastic roller inserts but its all good.

BirchI is full of it. How is that not defective? A platter making such noise and absolutely defective. I called pioneer and they've clearly stated that the 2000nxs are not suppose to make that type of noise.

I sent both of my players in for repairs. Don't comment with false claims without doing any research, you're statement should be removed by admin.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa, its plastic on plastic rolling sound, a little oil can probably cut down on the noise. if you want to waste the time sending them in and having them torn apart for noises a roller is making then be my guest, I have about 10 systems outfitted with these and mk1's and 1 way or another I can reproduce this sound,

I am only trying to help, don't take advice, I can give a shit less

and don't tell me I'm full of it and i should do my research when I have and official Pioneer mods have answered the same as I have, I fix these decks all the time, I think I know how they work and what sounds are considered normal, or warrant really having them sent in to have a little oil put on a wheel

Brichi i agree with you;) dont bother, this only happens when people havent used pioneer before, bought 2000nexus filled with Pio marketing videos and think that they are ideal players. The are better than any other in the market but not best. The conclusion is: sorry, but you've just spent a little fortune on players, which make some roll on rollnoises....but i have a great solution fot you:if you are not ok with it, i can buy them from you, take this problem out from you and even i can suggest you a price for this "shitty, noisy things": will give you 200 $ per pair;) deal?

Lol this guy..

Well you've been a great deal of help. Stating that these are not defective (and they may very well not be defective) and that the insanely loud grinding noise is normal is absurd.

If you knew the solution why not just state more info as to how one can actually fix it and/or provided the link? Telling someone indirectly "it's normal, deal with it" is stupid and wasted time.

I can give a shit less on whether or not he keeps them

I replied 4 times to to defend my point,

first off they are not grinding, if it was a grinding sour i would send them in

second, it is a squealing type sound that only happens on a very loose setting

third, i don't work for pioneer so why would I defend them? I am only saying that a lot of players have this so in pioneers eyes since THEY have already said this, It must be normal for some of the players to be "less oiled" per say then others causing this squeeling

We cannot provide technical info here like taking it apart and dissembling, If the end user feels its annoying enough to have fix then simply send it in, he shouldn't need any forum member to have to tell him this, we are all big boys here and can make decisions on our own.

IF YOU DONT LIKE THE SOUND, HAVE IT REPAIRED!!!!.

and Ken, if you had any clue on how the jog wheel worked you would know that sound is not a grinding sound, its the plastic wheel holder rubbing against another piece of plastic causing a squealing noise, not a grind

If the problem that touches on plastic and plastic is useless for repair cdj that once changed after 3 months lora even begin to make noise because it is normal or is finished and the fat

I thought the exact same think but they do make that noise when the jog wheel is spun back with force when set to loose. No defect here.

But I still try to go easy when spinning back or scratching just as a precaution.
