honestly the only thing that people will tell you here is take it to an authorized repair shop. We cannot give out technical things to try or have you open the player up
most likely its a board malfunction that needs to be replaced
Thank you for this opportunity. pls I need help, The top usb port on my cdj 2000 stopped working same as the SD card slot which got me worried, then later, the display issue came up, I turned it on, it shows normal "PIONEER" home display, then immediately the LCD goes off, and turns back on and a "Wait" signal appears, then LCD goes off again and goes back on again, it goes like that On and on and on.... Tho, it doesn't affect serato when used for mixing, it works fine, just the display I'm concern bout, of which I'm unable to perform other stuffs such as switching to USB, SD, DISC, INFO, Etc since the display s kind of switching off and on. Will appreciate if I could get off these mess with your valuable help. Thank you.
The video attached below explains better.

Mmmh! Yea you're right, Thanks much, but I was thinking if it could be something bout the firmware (probably) being corrupted and needs to reinstall or upgrade or something minor I hope other than panel issue. thanks anyway.
Yey, my cdj 2000 s now working fine, I actually did it myself, when I couldn't get help of any idea, that was after I serviced my DJ mixer cos I had my crossfader leaking, I had to clean it, so I decided to open the cdj gear as well. I found it so Easy, but I was very careful tho, no hard work. I only detached the plugs n belts on the board, and screen connection, my whole idea was to disconnect every connections on the board at the area of the screen, clean the metal on the belts with spirit n wool, then fix em back, so did n did the same to the memory card n usb slot cos the 2 slots stopped working, I fixed the detached belts n plugs back n coupled
And ((((TAARAAA))))... It came to life :D .... All functions well. So I say "well done" to myself.
Glad to hear you got it working but we still don't encourage users from performing these tasks themselves as they could damage the unit further.
