Bad sound quality. Where can I find old firmwares?

Hello.

I'm using cdj 850 long time ago. The last days I've found that the sound quality is very poor. The mp3 file is OK, when I play it from PC through the mixer (Cross DJ + Denon X1600) the quality is OK. When I play the same file with USB memory in CDJ, the quality is poor. If I save the same mp3 in a CD, the CDJ plays it with poor quality too.

I wonder if it could be since I updated my units to 1.12. I would like to test it with elder firmwares. Where could I find them?

Do any of you have the same issue? 

Today I will make some more test.

Test I've done:

  • Change RCA wires. 
  • Play same mp3 in PC with the internal soundcard of the mixer (Denon X1600)

 

Today I will check it with other mixer to be sure that the bad quality is from the CDJ.

I will also use an Audio2DJ to play the same mp3 in PC ans use the analog inputs of the Denon X1600.

 

I will update info this afternoon.

Hello again.

I burned 2 CDA with this mp3.

I can affirm that my old CDJ100 sounds much better than CDJ850.

It sounds with too much bass... 

I've compared CDJ100 and CDJ850 in a different mixer, and the same result.

What is confusing me is that I've got 2 CDJ850 and in both of them I've got the same problem.

Help please...

The engineers believe there is a possible hardware issue with the CDJ and you should send it for servicing. You can find the contacts located to the right.

Hello Pulse.

I'm having really big problems with the servicing in Spain, (LOHE, Pamplona).

They have not found the failure and they have taken me more than 30€ for telling me: nothing wrong

The test was made by a sir with old speakers under his table: "that sounds OK"

I'm really disappointed with this situation.

I've talked with Pioneer Spain and they told me to bring the cdjs back to this site (LOHE). Hope anyone could test the cdj with a real test and make me a budget with the solution.

I've been using pioneer cdj long time ago and this failure is not usual. I'm happy with pioneer quality but really angry with after sales support. That's the truth.

@Luis > I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. I'm not familiar with the global service locations - is that an official Pioneer repair shop or is it an authorized retailer who offers service? Are you not able to send it to Pioneer Spain directly? If your unit is out of warranty than there is likely a cost involved, even if no fault is found (that is typically a diagnostic fee).
