[OPEN] USB Freeze, scratching Error

Hey I have mentioned my Problem in this thread http://forums.pioneerdj.com/entries/22623182-USB-Freeze-Issues

I need an answer to that.

I have only Problems with the CDJ 350 and 850. All other Players (XDJ 1000, CDJ 900,CDJ 2000, CDJ 2000 nexus) work fine.

@Quirin > The reason those were missed was you piggy-back posted on another thread. Starting a new thread, regardless of how related your problem is, is the beset way to get assistance.

What is the make / model / USB-type of the flash drive you're using? When you originally formatted them, did you format them TWICE using a utility other than the Windows built-in format function? What filesystem did you format the drive to (eg. FAT32, HFS+)?

Which version of rekordbox are you exporting with?

The issue in the first video is mostly to do with the read-speed of your device along with the limited memory of the CDJ-850 (which is why the error doesn't happen with higher-model players). The second video is a known issue, but is a standard function of the player when it attempts to load the track previous to the one you are scratching from the 0:00 time.

It's an SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 32GB and Transcend USB 3.0 32 GB and before the 3.0 USB sticks I had some of these Transcent JetFlash 300 USB 2.0 16 GB.

This Problem exists with all USB Sticks.

I formatted them to FAT32 with Windows and tried it also with SwissKnife. No results...

I am Exporting with Rekordbox 3.2 at the moment.

Ok that are bad news. I tried to put only one playlist on the USB Stick with about 10 Tracks on it but the same error occured.

The Problem with the second video is that it lags that much. When i scratch into the previous track and go back to the other Track the track start play for 1 sec an then Stops.

Sorry for my bad english :) I hope you get my points.

@Quirin > As I noted above, the issue with the track change and scratching is normal - there really isn't any decent way to avoid this other than to add blank space to the start of your track. Even with auto-cue disabled, there is still the potential for the player to try to load the track as it is not in buffer when you scratch back into the previous track, causing the playback to stop.

I've put the issue forward to the engineers again to see if they have any tips.

Sounds good,

yes problem also occures with auto-cue disabled, I already tried this :)

Ok, I hope the engineers have an idea for this issue.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you in advance

@Quirin > The engineers tested it with 30 different USB drives and were unable to replicate the issue, could you please post your export.edb database from the USB drive (may be a hidden file)?

Do you mean the EXPORT.PDB file? I can't find a export.edb file (visible hidden files on)

Mhm.

My CDJ is using the latest firmware.

Could you recomment a low budget USB Stick that is working on your 850s perfectly?

So i can try that one out.

A month ago i tried my usb sticks with mp3 files without rekordbox and the same error occured.

I dont think that it is am Hardware defect cause they both have the same error.

Sorry, I don't have an 850 here to replicate the issue, so I can't make any recommendation that might not result in the same problem.
