Recently upgraded firmware on my two CDJ2000NXS. They both showed to be successful, but then I discovered a problem with one of the CDJ's. One unit does not show the firmware version during the splash screen / start up. If you go into the menu, there is no firmware version listed. I tried updating the firmware again, but I got a message saying "GUI firmware update failed" and a whole bunch of japanese text.

@Miguel > Based on your video, I'm going to assume you successfully used the USB drive to update one of the CDJs but not the other? Have you tried re-flashing the firmware? I wonder if perhaps the firmware file on the USB was corrupted somehow, maybe before you try re-flashing the unit, re-extract the files from the download zip.
@Pulse, both units were successfully updated, along with about 30 other units about two weeks ago. These units were used as late as this past Monday Mar-23rd with a USB and a link cable (between the two units) without a problem. Another person tried using the units last night and discovered the issue. It was a bit surprising to me, because I hadn't had any problems with either unit. Unfortunately, I won't have access to look at it until Monday. I will send an update early next week.
What I would like to know is if anyone has seen this happen and what did they have to do to resolve it or am I the only lucky one? Anyone?
I've asked the engineers to investigate as this is the first time I've ever seen that kind of error.
So they're as surprised as I am ... they've suggested trying to re-flash the firmware first. If the percentage bar does not reach the end and the CDJ does not show the message to reboot, the firmware was not installed. If it works, fantastic, but if the firmware does NOT update, you may need to send the player for servicing.
