loop lenght is not shown when hitting the orange button

hi guys...i am new...so hello to all! 

i recently bought two 900 nxs cdjs, and i absolutly love them!

however, i have a question about looping with them, cause when i hit the 4 beat loop button, the icon in the display shows the loop lenght, and it does so when making the loops bigger or smaller.

however when i loop manually with the orange in/out buttons, the icon on the display does not show the loop lenght that has been set, it only shows two little stripes. is this normal or a bug?
