[SOLVED] Any "already played" indicator on the display of the XDJ-AERO for tracks from USB key?

Hi,

I currently own CDJ/DJM-2000 but I'm looking for a companion kit that would be smaller and more portable (for small house parties, or just playing around the house more easily).  I was looking at the CDJ/DJM-350 kit but then I saw the XDJ-AERO which is even more portable, also doesn't require a laptop and can use directly the same Rekordbox usb keys I'm using on my 2000 kit.

But before buying I want to know if the small display on this device show an indicator for tracks that have been already played (from a usb key), because I know the 350 kit doesn't have one?  I heard we can see the "played" state when using Rekordbox from the mobile app, but I want to know from the display itself with usb key?  And sadly the stores around here doesn't have one in stock to try it out.

The mobile app doesn't support AIFF files, so I want to be able to play my AIFF tracks from the usb key but still be able to see which tracks I already played in my set.

Thanks for your help (and sorry for my bad English ;-)

I haven't used my AERO, whithout the iPad, since my second gig with it, but if I remember correctly, there is a small indicator for played tracks.

I'll check when i get home tonight and let you know.

Sorry for the late reply...

If you play a rekordbox playlist the "tone symbol" that is infront of the song name, will get inverted colours, but if you play a song directly from the stick, whitout a playlist, there is no indication if you have played the song.

Hi Wicket,

Sorry also for the delay, I was out for the weekend.

Thank you very much for this info.  I'm sure other peoples will also find this useful.

It's ok for me even if there is no indicator for tracks without a playlist because I always analyze and export my tracks as playlists from Rekordbox.

So I guess that means I'll order the Aero very soon!  :)

Thanks again

As @Wicket says, a track does get marked as "played"; the icon to the left will show as inverted provided that song is on a device from rekordbox.

See below -- the first track has been played, the 3rd track is where the highlight (selection) sits.
