Have you tried disabling the security and changing the WiFi channel?

[OPEN] XDJ R1 Remotebox wifi not showing
An other problem with the xdj r1 .. Software 1.09
The r1 does not show on my iphone 5s wifi list ..
I have turn the wifi on & off .. change ssid and change password .. still nothing
