[SOLVED] XDJ-R1 & EFX-1000 need help

Hey guys, I just bought an efx 1000 for my xdj r1 set. As the xdj doesn't have any send/return connections I connected the efx through my master out rca. So, tha master out rca goes into the efx's input rca, than the efx's output rca into my powered speakers. It all works,but... How can i record my mix in this situation? I tried it with a 2x6.3 jack-3.5 jack cable in this way: connected the efx's 2nd, jack output to my laptop/iphone, but when i do it this way,the overall master volume drops, and no sound is going into my recording device. What is the solution? Please help me! Thanks!

If it's free, try to use the booth out.

XDJ-R1 MASTER OUT 2 (RCA) -> EFX-1000 INPUT (RCA) -> EFX-1000 OUTPUT (RCA) -> Soundcard Input. Connect your powered speakers to Soundcard Output.

Set the IN & OUT LEVEL switch on the EFX-1000 to the +4dB position.

See attached picture.

Or..is it possible that i connect both the master out and the booth out to my efx? For example: xdj r1 master out 2 (rca) to efx input rca, than the output rca to my speakers. Aaand, the xdj booth out rca with the right cable into the efx input 6.3 jack, and the 6.3output jack with the right cable into my laptop or whatever recording device.

No, don't connect multiple outputs to the EFX. Just connect the master out to the EFX, the EFX output to the soundcard. And yes, an external soundcard will have better quality than your built-in one.
