3) Auto-loop just does that. We'll add that as a comment to the engineers for a possible change or preference setting.

4) Yes, this is always how Pioneer CDJs and XDJs have worked; when you set a loop, the primary cue point becomes the in point of the loop.

The reason for your mismatch could be the timing or whether or not you have quantize enabled (and to what granularity it's configured for).

I verified about number 2. I was not on vinyl mod as i am not used to this kind of mod anyway. I have experienced the same problem stopping both tracks randomly to halt my session. (i had one track with a loop in) and both decks were absolutely irresponsive. I had to reload tracks

Thanks for number 1 and number 3) It would be nice that the primary cue point would remain where it is indeed. Same with loops storing at the start of the loop point.

Regarding number 4) this is indeed quite disturbing. But the consequences are extremely troublesome. Let me try to explain it better. Load a track on deck 1 that plays throughout. Use a 32 beats loop of a second track on deck two and beatmatch it accordingly with deck 1. Lets say for the sake of this explanation that we work as 2x16 beats phrases. Now at any moment after passing the 16th beat on deck 2 (lets say on the 18th beat) if you decide to halve it down to 16 beats loop, it will restart right at the beginning of the loop and be beat-matched according to the quantise value from beat 2 of the second 16 beats phrase for deck one. It then makes a 2 beats differences between phrases on deck one and two.

If you do the same thing with seratoDJ, if you halve the 32 beats loop at the 18th beat the first 16 beats phrase of deck two will continue from the 2nd beat to be matched accordingly with the deck 1 phrase so that both phrases will be in line with the phrase count.

But even more disturbing, is using the beat jump function. Using for example a 16 beats loop (as a phrase) If you jump forwards (a 16 beats jumps), the song will continue playing and you see the loop being transferred to the following phrase without any consequences for the song (and thats fine) and the loop will be repeated at the end of the following phrase, but if you beat jump backwards, lets say at the 5th beat it restarts right from the beginning of the loop (beat 1 of the previous phrase) and be completely out of the beat with deck 1. I have not tried it without the loop but i assume the same thing would happen regarding the phrase count. This function is extremely useful on seratoDJ and I learnt how to use it to make most of my live mashups.

I have also experience something else that could use a bit of improvement. If you use shift functionality of the jog wheel in rekordbox, the song shifts forwards or backwards but it requires lots of spinning to reach a further point in the song. and it doesn't seem to keep the beatmatch at all. Is it possible at all to increase the number of beats shift+jog wheel spin covers and to keep it beat matched? The way I have a use for it, is to prepare my beat match first on a track load (with a loop), then i shift+jog wheel forward quickly to navigate to a full chorus phrase where i can adjust volume accordingly then shift+jog wheel backwards quickly to get back to the beginning of the song where i started my loop and finish adjusting with a couple of shift+jog wheel pinches to match my phrases. SeratoDJ shift+jog wheel pinches act as a 4 beats (1 measure) as a mininum value for shifting while rekordbox uses more something like 1 beat as minimum value for shifting using the same function.

I still really like this software very much but i hope there wouldn't be too much adjustment to be done. The pad FX which are awesome features are already very complex to use while this would be the most useful feature i would be using :)

Filter isnt working with Rekordbox DJ and DDJ-SX. what am I doing wrong ?

@Ronny > Have you checked the CFX panel to see what effect is assigned to the filter knob?
