Rekordbox cue point problem with DDJSX2

I have had no problems with the new rekordbox (4.05) performance software until recently and am not sure what's caused this. the problem I now have is that if I set a cue point and want to tap this in on the beat via a pad or the cue button of the ddjsx2, instead of returning to the original cue point position when I let go, the song continues to play. the correct operation should be that the play head returns to the cue point until play is pressed.

Does anyone know if this an issue with the settings in rekordbox, i.e. have I changed something (I don't believe I have) or whether this is an actual known problem.

i am running the latest version of rekordbox and i have an up to date retina macbook that is more than powerful enough to run the software. btw when use serato the cue and play/pause buttons operate as normal and so do the hot cue pads.
