unexpected error

So i just got my pioneers and it came with a xdj-ri cd to install record box, i go to download record box, fill in my information etc and when i loaded record box it asked me for a key and i was surprised because i thought i got it for free and couldn't find the key so i restarted my computer and now everytime i load record box it comes up with a warning saying " unexpected error" and just closes. it doesn't give me a chance to fill in the key or anything! ive uninstalled the program and reinstalled it like 5 times now but still the same error i can't get to the serial key stage. please help!

@Johnny > The serial number is only needed to use rekordbox in Performance mode, which is not included free with the XDJ-RX; only the DDJ-RX and DDJ-RZ are currently bundled with a free license for that.

You can use rekordbox for free, without needing to use the trial mode or purchase a license, which will allow you to prepare your content and export it to a drive, or link to the XDJ-RX, simply skip the serial page.
