@Christopher > Which software are you planning on using?
I used to use Traktor and one thing I found very useful was the physical knobs of Move and Size.
With Size you could change the number of beats (1,2,4,8,16,32) and with move you could move the number of beats selected by Size.
It was a great way of quickly adjusting size to, say 16, and the moving 16 beats forward.
Do DDJ's have this feature?
I am thinking of getting a DDJ simply for preparing my sets at home. I won't gig with a DDJ as I use the club CDJs but such physical functionality will save the fiddle on the laptop keyboard/mouse.
If the feature is available, which is the cheapest one with this feature.
Thanks in advance, Christopher

It would be Rekordbox 4 and Rekordbox DJ !
Ok ... looking at the software, I think it is the Beat Jump functionality that I am talking about .... its not as fluid as in the Traktor with the swivel to change the size and the rotating 'move' that allow an 8 beat jump to become 32 (i.e. 4 x 8) with just turning 4 clockwise clicks of the 'move' (and then back again with 4 anti-clockwise) but it allows jumping fixed numbers of beats saving all the counting 1...32 whenever I want to re position a cue.
So ... which is the cheapest / smallest DDJ that has this functionality ?
The DDJ-RZ and DDJ-RX say specifically "Beat Jump" above the first pad but what about the other DDJs?
Thanks in advance
Anyone ... ?
Which is the cheapest / lowest in the lineup of DDJ that have Beat Jump capabilities ?
Thanks,
Christopher
The DDJ-SR, SX, SZ, RX and RZ all have this feature but the only models that have the BEAT JUMP label are the RX and RZ. The other models have the feature but not the label, as they were originally intended for use with Serato DJ.
