DDJ RZ Cue Buttons not working

@Alan > Again, we apologize for this unfortunate circumstance but we have no ability to direct that kind of action. The retailer would have to communicate with their supplier (or Pioneer directly if they don't use a distributor) in order to arrange a replacement for a failed unit.

HI, I've just bought my RZ tonight and made the switch from traktor to Rekordbox DJ.....Ive sorted most of my confusion out by reading the furoms but this one still baffles me

My cue & play buttons work on 2 but when I load into deck 1 they don't and are not even lit up, the deck sometimes auto plays once track has loaded....

I'm guessing its a software issue, a setting of some sort....any help please??

In fact I've just noticed, Left Side (1&3) Sync, Cue & Play do NOT light up on the switch ON like the right side does.

Is this a faulty unit?

 

and to add further the cue button sounds a lot more hollow than the right as if theres nothing underneath.

For the amount pioneer are knocking these out at i'd expect a more quality build.

This seems strange.  It does sound like the unit may be faulty.  I recommend exchanging it for another (brand new, in-box) DDJ-RZ.  

Did you buy a brand new unit?  Where did you purchase it?

Dawsons is indeed an authorized Pioneer retailer.  You should have no problem exchanging your RZ for a new one.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks, only problem being is I had to wait a month more than intended delivery date as dawsons informed me their shipment was late from yourselves. Plus as far as I was aware they only had 2 units on their shipment both had deposits made, one of which is my faulty one.

If this is the case and they have no more in stock would it be possible for pioneer to ship one to them as a matter of priority??

I am aware of that, dawson's have been onto yourselves today but only received an email that doesn't answer their question as to sending a new unit out by 24 hour courier.

To be honest that's the least should be offering to do considering the price of the unit and it being still under your warranty...less than 30 hours out of the box.
