[SOLVED] Data Cable connection problem with mac
Hey guys need a little help, I connect my cdj 2000s whilst using serato to my mac using data cables for native control. Yesterday when plugging one of them in i get a message on my mac saying the cdj is consuming too much power from my mac and it turns off the usb ports. This is only happening on the one and i have used for 1 year now with no problem . Any1 know whats going on?

Hi yes tried that also but still happening
@Richie > Can you tell me which kind of cables you are using - send me a link maybe?
Have you tried using alternative cables?
I'd also try resetting the SMC on your Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Hi yes ive tried several cables and i have even tried it on a friends mac and also my sony vaio and it still does the same thing so must be some kind of problem with the port on the player
@Richie > And what about resetting the SMC?
just tried that but still happening
Ok, I'll investigate with an engineer.
@Richie > Actually, just before we go to the engineer, can you try one more thing for me?
If you are on a MacBook that has a Core iX (i5 / i7) processor, can you try using the rear USB port rather than the one closest to you...
I dont sorry but i have a sony vaio and a dell i have also tried it with and still doesnt work. The other cdj works fine with all 3 laptops
Ok thanks, I've raised it with an engineer.
@Richie > The engineer has advised me to tell you that he feels the problem is hardware related and you should send the unit to a service centre in your country.
