a stupid question but did the xdj r1 connect directly with the recordbox software?
i am trying but nothing.i dont want other software like virtual dj LE.
i have all my list on recordbox.
*i use imac lion mountain 10.8.4

You can prepare your music in rekordbox (the desktop version I assume we are talking about) and export the tracks to USB device. You can then plug that USB device into your R1 (and search the USB device using an iPhone or iPad if you wish). Direct connection, like the Aero, is not possible.
i sell my cdj 2000 and i buy the ddj sx because i dont use cd's anymore and i was thinking the ddj sx cooperate with the record box....but NO,so i sell my ddj sx and i buy the xdj r1 for the recordbox....but again i fall out.
i dont want use the usb,its a lost of time,ITS SIMPLE,UPDATE THE RECORDBOX SO WE CAN USE IT DIRECLTY WITH THE XDJ R1,many djs want this function.

no support as i see,pioneer engineer must finally support recordbox with our xdj r1,if not next week i send back my xdj r1.
pls do it.
If you wish to connect a unit directly to your laptop and use rekordbox then the XDJ-Aero has that functionality. The R1 does not.
