[CLOSED] Error E-8302 on several mp3 tracks with XDJ R1

same here!

I do as well, and the mp3s play fine in rekordbox  and other players.  This is the last straw for me...the xdj-r1 is being returned to the store for refund.

@Gavin - This issue happens with too many mp3's.  It seems to happen only to Mp3's that have been analyzed by Rekordbox and then played on the R1.  If I copy the non-rekordbox version of the mp3, it works fine on the R1.

Once you try and load the rekordbox version of certain Mp3s in the R1,  it slows the entire machine down until you get the E-8302 error.  The machine then seems to pick back up again speedwise.

All the files seem to export fine from Rekordbox to whatever media you're using for the R1.  So there is no way of telling which mp3's wont play until you're actually using them on the R1.

ARE YOU GUYS ALSO LOOKING AT REKORDBOX AND ITS COMPATIBILITY WITH THE R1?  (sorry - i hate using all caps but this is important).  Both the firmware AND Rekordbox has to be looked at.

This machine cannot be used live until this issue is fixed.

With Rekordbox 2.07 & XDJ R1 firmware 1.04, tracks playing on XDJ Aero but not on R1 ... getting E-8302 error :(

Guys, a response from the engineers:

Please ask all the users who experienced to see the error 8302:

1. Try using other USB sticks and see if any different behaviour is observed. 
   
2. Describe the detailed procedure before having this error. 
   
3. If possible, the engineer needs the problematic mp3 files to analyse and fix the issue.

Instructions on what to send us (via DropBox or other suitable channel)

The engineer wants the following folders from the users to solve the problem.

[The contents folder and Pioneer folder in the problematic USB stick.]

However, if they send all the tracks, it is too big to see them all. 

So, please export only a few problematic tracks via rekordbox to a USB stick and see if the same issue occurs. 

If the same problem occurs to those exported tracks, please send their contents folder and Pioneer folder in the USB stick.

Thank you so much Gavin for your answer, so here is what happened when I tried to send you the track;

I have a USB stick A, loaded with 2300 tracks:

• on XDJ Aero & CDJ 2000: all tracks playing fine

• on XDJ R1: one track is getting error E-8302

So, I tried a USB stick B, with only the track causing problem

• on XDJ Aero: track is playing fine

• on XDJ R1: track is playing fine !! Incredible

So , I told myself maybe I have to remove all my 450 tracks in the same album of the track causing problem, and reload them on the USB stick A, this is what I did, I removed all the tracks and export them again on the USB Stick A

• on XDJ Aero & CDJ 2000: all tracks playing fine

• on XDJ R1: all the tracks of the artist of the song causing problem are now getting E-8302 :(( (Artist is Axwell, too bad :( )

So, I moved all these Axwell tracks, and only these ones, on the USB stick B

• on XDJ Aero: all tracks are playing fine

• on XDJ R1: all tracks are playing fine !! Incredible

So... what I do now ? I can send you these tracks causing issues but you will never reproduce the problem because it seems that this is when they are all included in the whole library that there is an issue.

And don't tell me to change my USB stick A, it is 128Go, and it is working like a charm on XDJ Aero and CDJ 2000 so the issue is clearly between Rekordbox 2.0.7 and XDJ R1.

Have you tried running MP3 Validator on the tracks?  We had an issue with files from a few years ago that would say 320 but were 319, I can't say that's it but I have had bugged files within different software that after running MP3Val they were fine...

Auch mit der V 1.05 wurde das Problem nicht behoben.Das ist eine Frechheit,der Käufer wird zum Betatester! Ich könnte Kotzen das ich meinen Aero verkauft habe,der hatte das Problem nicht & auch keine Begrenzung auf 10.000 Titel. Der Fehler liegt irgendwie an der Dateiverwaltung.Wenn ich die mp3 Dateien die den Fehler ausgeben auf ein CD brenne laufen die Lieder.

Manche laufen auch auf USB wenn man den Interpreten einen anderen Namen im id3Tag gibt.

Ich habe aber noch kein eindeutiges Muster des Fehlers finden können?

z.B. Habe die Bravo Hits 82 drauf, der erste Song wird nicht abgespielt,habe den Interpreten umbenannt bringt auch nix.Jetzt habe ich den ersten Song genommen und Ihn nocheinmal exportiert mit dem Albumname Problem und den Interbretenname umbenannt in 8302 und schon spielt er den Song, schon komisch.

I formatted my USB stick, and recreated my library from scratch (2362 tracks), it's always the same tracks causing problems (same USB stick working on CDJ-2000 and XDJ Aero, I repeat myself)

I think that you'd better provide a new Rekordbox update because it's seems that many issues are coming of the XDJ-R1 library generation from Rekordbox (like categories not visible, like cue not working, like playlists in a complete mess)

@djjay: I analyzed my tracks with MP3Val and they are fine.

Good news of the update : loops are now working well ! Thank you, but there is still a lot to do for you guys, waiting for a Rekordbox 2.0.8, Remotebox 1.1.2  and firmware 1.06 ... correcting all the basic issues

Ich bin jetzt froh meinen XDJ-R1 an Thomann zurück geschickt zu haben! Das Problem wurde nicht (!!!) gelöst! Der 8302 Fehler bleibt! Bei mir war es jeder Titel von PSY und ein paar andere!  Das Problem ist die Recordbox - aber Pioneer hört da wohl nicht richtig zu! Gleicher Titel abgespielt direkt von USB Stick - funktioniert, Titel mit Rekordbox analysiert - 8302! Tja, wenn der Fehler behoben ist, kauf ich ihn mir evtl. wieder vergünstigt als B-Stock! Schade, wäre ein Hammer Ding gewesen - aber nicht spieltauglich!

Axwell tracks not working on my USB Stick A. I copied the whole PIONEER library folder of my 2362 tracks to another USB stick B (you 're creating a lot of metadata files...).

I copied then just the "Axwell" artist folder and "Alesso" artist folder to a "Contents" folder in the USB Stick B...

I plug into the XDJ R1... Alesso tracks are playing well, and ... Axwell tracks are playing well !!!!

Crazy ! Of course all of the others tracks are getting a E-8302 because they are not located on the USB Stick.

So ? I was hoping to send you just these tracks and my library but this is useless, as it is working :(

I duplicated these tracks on the USB Stick, and renamed the files with Aaxwell (double a), artist and title renamed too.

I plug into the XDJ R1 ... the tracks Aaxwell are playing !!!!!!

The tracks named Axwell are still not playing.

I'm now convinced to the death that this is a Rekordbox library issue for XDJ R1.

My mp3s are just playing well on every Pioneer device, and on the XDJ R1, depending on the name, I get a E-8302 !!
