CDJ-400 / Reckordbox compatability

Looking to confirm that as of Rekordbox release 4.0.3 the CDJ-400 is supported. Is this true? Are there any limitations?

Hi, CDJ-400 is supported and works flawlessly. I've dj-ed at two functions with two CDJ-400s and rekordbox.

There is only one thing which is missing and would be great to have: You can select and load track with the knob, but filenames are not being shown while browsing files in rekordbox.

You won't see the names shown in the display of the CDJ-400, it's not capable of doing that currently, and I'm not 100% sure we'll see it added at a later time, but if we do -- bonus!

@igor > You need to either create an aggregate device or assign a soundcard with multiple outputs. I'm hoping to have a full walk-through for Windows users posted later this week.

Sorry, I can't dive into those details right now but you can do a bit of searching on creating an aggregate device or assigning outputs, or wait for the instructional post later this week.

Traktor can display the track names on a CDJ-400 perfectly fine in HID mode. Would be a shame if Pioneer could not achieve the same with their own player. Everything else works perfectly.

I have a question. Can you link the Pioneer cdj 400's to your laptop and use the link feature on rekord box to drag and load tracks on to your cdj 400's straight from the laptop? That would be awesome so I dont have to use the turning knob on my cdj 400 to find a songs which takes some time. Please someone let me know!!! Thank you.

@Gabriel > Not exactly -- the CDJ-400 doesn't have link, so you can neither link two players together to share a USB drive, nor link to a computer to have the rekordbox data shared to the player.

What you can do is connect the CDJs via USB to your computer and use them as HID controllers of rekordbox DJ (in performance mode); the DJ plus-pack is an additional purchase.

@Patrick > This post was regarding the CDJ-400; a CD player. You're asking about the DDJ-400; a controller. Please post a new topic with your question so we can properly address your concern, as I'm not even sure what you're asking about.
