No; two with the RX, two on other players, as the Pro DJ Link supports up to 4 decks, even though the RX hardware itself only has 2 decks.
I see on the XDJ-RX webpage(http://www.pioneerdj.com/en-us/product/all-in-one-system/xdj-rx/black/overview)
it says: "MORE CREATIVE FREEDOM
Automatically beat match up to 4 decks playing tracks analysed in rekordbox, leaving you free to focus on adding your unique mark on the mix."
you can't actually play 4 decks with the RX though... Right???

ok.
so that is extremely miss-leading then.... I mean you can't just hook 2x external players to the RX because you only have 4 channels to play with, so "beat matching 4 tracks at once is not realistically possible even with 2 more decks attached to it.
Not entirely, you could connect the output of the RX to another mixer and have two other CDJs / another XDJ there to which you are beatmatched.
that's true I suppose. I don't think it should be listed the way it is as a feature though. its simply not realistic... in order to use this "feature" you have to buy 2 more players and another mixer... only an extra 6 grand to be able to beat mix 4 tracks.....
thats like a car company listing the ability for your car to fly... All you have to do is buy 4x jet engines, a welder, and get an engineering degree and damn! now your car can fly!!!
Sometimes marketing just runs with information without considering what the actual words mean. ;)
Lol... Very funny that reply from Anthony Howard... Made me chuckle :)
The arrogance of Pioneer and its support representatives (like above) is mind blowing. This is why many loyal pioneer users are moving to other platforms, including myself.
Let's recap this post:
misleading information is justified as incorrect "word-smithing" and the response is either buy more of our equipment or deal with it. Great customer support!
No, it's partly misunderstanding by the user, partly by marketing.
If you own an XDJ-RX, you can sync two decks.
If you own an XDJ-RX and two other Pioneer players (which also happen to have the sync feature), all four decks can be synced together.
Does it say "when using other equipment"? No. Does it say "your other decks must also have sync"? No. Does a chainsaw really need a label that reads "do not operate near genitals"? No, but some do.
I'm sorry if you are disappointed, but the XDJ-RX is not advertised as having four deck support anywhere else, and this is a simple mistake in the message.
"If you own an XDJ-RX and two other Pioneer players (which also happen to have the sync feature), all four decks can be synced together."
Ok so how do you sync the XDJRX with a DJM900nxs + two CDJ2000NXS ?
Via the ethernet port.
Can you please list the most affordable sets of players and mixers that will sync with xdj-rx2?
Thanks
@Brynk > None.
you just contradicted your post from above :
"If you own an XDJ-RX, you can sync two decks.
If you own an XDJ-RX and two other Pioneer players (which also happen to have the sync feature), all four decks can be synced together."
And unfortunately the XDJ-RX2 does NOT have an ethernet port.
I meant, the oldest model of mixer and players that you can connect with xdjrx2 and play on four decks. Is it possible?
You could use any - you just won't have any SYNC.
