That should work. Only the PC sources are mixed by Traktor in internal mix mode or Serato and all other sources e.g. MIC / LINE are mixed on the SX2

Folgenddj sx 2 with 2 channels as standalone mixer and 2 channels with Traktor
Hi everybody,
I'm french, sorry for my english.
It's been for months I was looking for a DJ controller to use with Traktor.
The Kontrol S4 MK2 was nice but it's impossible to use it without a computer (and it looks too cheap), so if there's a crash it's really annoying!
The DDJ-SX2 is (imho) the best one. Everything seems to be possible, and the mapping with Traktor works very well (sorry but I don't want to use Serato, I just prefered Traktor so far).
But I'm not sure if it does the thing that makes me decide to purshase it :
In the same time, I want to use channels 1 & 2 with Traktor (so I have to swap the DDJ in MIDI mode) but I want to use channel 3 with a mic and the channel 4 with an ipod (just in case,...). It is possible to do all this stuff in the same time (that is to say without any hearing cut or unppluged something, or push something else) ?
The question is similar to this one : does the PC/MIC (or PC/LINE) input selector is equivalent to a channel MIDI controller / analog function selector ?
Or this one : does the MIDI mode locks the channels faders/EQ... in MIDI or is it compatible to the input selector just as PC ?
I think that the block diagram seems to be fine with this (with Serato), but I'm not sure if this configuration will work in MIDI mode.
If it is possible and if you already tried this, please tell me.
Thank you very much for your help.

Thank you Yves.
You're right. I found something about the Traktor mapping guide from Pioneer website :
"When the INPUT SELECT is switched to other than PC to use external source, audio from Track deck and Remix deck on TRAKTOR PRO 2 will not be automatically muted.
[...]
When the TRIM, EQ, CH fader, etc. are controlled to adjust the audio of external source, the MIXER function of the Traktor software is also controlled at the same time".
It's OK for me because I want to use external inputs only if the computer crashes.
I think that in non MIDI control mode, the Trim, etc. work only on the inputs if you switched on other than PC input select.
Now I can buy this amazing controller/mixer !
:)
You can also route the ipod through Traktor by selecting
'line in' (I think it's called that) & use Traktor's effects etc. on the ipod music.
I actually think it might be possible with the mic too.
Obviously if Traktor is running that is.
Waoh! And it's also possible to use Serato with timecode (after purshasing the DVS expansion pack). It's perfect...
I use the SX2 with Serato.
I also purchased the DVS plugin, it works great.
You won't regret purchasing the SX2.
Ten years ago, I had two Technics MK2 with FInal Scratch. It was great but not so ergonomic (e. g. it worked only with firewire). I love the all-in-one aspect of the SX2 (with a good flycase, it's enough to go to play in a party!), with the Pioneer quality. Even if I will use Traktor, I will try Serato just to have all the native features of the SX2 (but the GUI is just...).
