Pioneer DDJ SR ISSUES

My product (Pioneer ddj sr) has some major issues that prevent me from playing.
The Pioneer has always been faulty, in that the right cue button needs excessive force to operate. But I'm used to it.
Now, whenever I use it, some weird stuff happen at some point.
For instance, I can play it for 5 hours straight and then, for no reason at all and without any change in settings, most buttons activate wrong actions. Or all the effects activate together at the same time when I press only one of them.Pressing cue on the left deck pauses the track on the right deck.Pressing sync opens up the effect option, the jogwheels die and every action is wrong.
I have already erased and re-installed everything but it's no use.
Should I return it? The guarantee hasn't expired. But I would like to avoid being without it for a couple of months, because my job depends on it.I'm thinking of taking back to the store my product (it's still in warranty) but i'm afraid that i can't prove all of these issues because all of these issues appear in different times.
Please advise me.
ps. I run the latest updates (Serato dj &pioneer's firmware) i also bought a new cable and tried all usb plug ins .

To all users who are following this topic, we have an update for you:

Thank you for your patience as our moderator team closed all of the forum topics where the DDJ-SR issue was being discussed. This was a temporary measure to not add any additional information which could further confuse our support teams. With comments from many users, some from the same users posting to multiple topics, it was already difficult to sort out the issues and attempt to diagnose the variety of concerns.

We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with your DDJ-SR not working properly. Our support staff and product managers have reviewed all available information and have concluded that as the issues are not all identical and as they occur across a variety of computer hardware and software configurations, there is insufficient information to draw a conclusion to a specific fault common to all DDJ-SRs, nor a fault within the product firmware(s). As such, we would like to direct all of you to please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region to have your DDJ-SR serviced.

We have opened these topics again for discussion or additional questions you may have for us, but please remember to post in accordance with the forum Rules & Regulations.

(The same message will be posted to as many of the DDJ-SR issue threads we can find, sorry if you are subscribed to multiple topics and receive this same information several times.)

I would return it if it's faulty, or just exchange it for

a new one

@Pulse,

Good Evening,

After having multiple issues with my DDJ-SR, and trying everything, I came across the solution,

It seems that is does not like USB 3 ports on my P.C,

I came across this problem in 2013 when using a rival company's controller, it would just not work on my P.C on the USB 3 inputs, luckily I have a USB 2 port on both my laptops and it works without any issues when connected to this,

This particular company recognized that USB 3 ports are a major issue with USB Powered Controllers, and brought out a download patch to rectify this issue,

Could Pioneer take a closer look at this potential problem, as this solution has worked for me,

                Regards,

                  Adrian.

Hi i have the same issue. I've contacted pioneer but they said it was gonna cost me around 250-350 to repair it but it worked b4 the update. I dnt have a warranty any more and on use it to play at parties for disabled kids. And I can't afford to replace it as i spent all my money on this controller (pioneer ddj-sr) it was working fine b4 the updated firmware. Is it possible to get it sorted but not have to pay so much, this is my first time using a pioneer controller as I previously used numark without issue. I'm Desperate to get this sorted as I am letting down loads of kids by not being able to dj for these disabled kids and home educated kids.
