I have the RZ since Saturday, i come from a ddj sx, RZ it's an other planet! !! Only a problem with driver but was a my mistake.
For me Very Good console
Bye
I'm going to buy a DDJ-RZ so I have a question to those who own it: is it stable for you? Is its performance is as good as advertised or it still has some lags and problems as described in other topics of the forum?

Its better than described! Ive had it 3 weeks now & its great. Practice makes perfect! The only problem I've had is the tempo range adjusts itself for what reason i don't know. I have told pioneer about this.
Rock solid controller. Software version 4.0.3 has definitely introduced some serious bugs, see my post in the Rekordbox forum. Not stable for gigging, which is unfortunately. Issues with slip mode getting turned on (and unable to be turned off), and also audio loss from one channel, also unable to be fixed without restarting.
Stick to 4.0.2 or use other software for now.
I am a professional mobile DJ who currently uses Traktor DJ and the Kontrol S4. My new DDJ-RZ came last Tuesday and I have been playing with it a lot between then and now.
I have the latest DDJ-RZ firmware (1.06) and the latest Rekordbox software (4.0.3) running on OSX El Capitan. My laptop is an early 2013 Macbook Pro (2.7 GHz Intel Core i7) with 16 GB of RAM and a 750 GB SSD.
I have the latency in Rekordbox DJ turned all the way down to it's lowest setting at 1.5 ms and the CPU meter is bouncing up and down around 50% so there is still tons of headroom in that regard.
I have a gig tonight and I almost brought the DDJ-RZ when I set up this morning because in the last 4 days of playing with it I haven't had a single issue. I decided to be responsible though, and give it a little more time just in case.
I would DEFINITELY recommend this controller. It's SICK!!!
cpoynter -- came from the same setup. Kontrol S4 with Traktor.
Picked up a DDJ-SX2 in setpember for use with Serato then when RB came out. Then when RB announced I've been w/ RB since then.
It has so much potential once the bugs get squished!
@cpoynter Heard there was a bug when updating to El Capitan if you have a Rekordbox Dj license bundled with RZ. Is yours bundled? Did you buy the license separately?
would just like to know before I update to El Capitan.
Thanks
after my update from Yosemite to El Capitan Rekordbox lose the registration. I just put the License Key again in the software and everything was fine.
Ok Mito... I'll try it.
Worked for me!
Hey Steve, looks like DJV Mito beat me to the punch but what he describes is exactly what happened to me too, when I updated to El Capitan.
Also, for anyone else out there who is trying this, I had to re-install the latest DDJ-RZ driver and restart my computer after I upgraded to El Capitan and then re-enter the license key. I thought at first there was going to be a problem but it was pretty easy to figure out and it works great now.
At my gig last night I was playing on my S4 and wishing I had brought my RZ.
Tim... you should definitely buy one!
Thanks, cpoynter! Same steps for me.
I had other NI gear and the new Magic Mouse 2(only compatible with El Capitan) that I was waiting for updates on...
All set now!
Oooookay so I may have to retract my previous comment. It seems like Rekordbox has now unactivated the license key. The only thing I did was turn my computer off last night...
whooooooa
So,I restarted my MacBook and opened Rekordbox...
Same thing for me, I re-entered the key and all is well.
This shouod be fixed soon, I'm sure.
