Is their any plans to update the XDJ-1000 software to run in line with the new CDJ-2000nxs2?

As always, we can't post information on products that have not been announced. This is not an admission or confirmation of any future product per your speculation or discussion. Pioneer is always working on the next product, whatever it may be, and announcements typically fall around large international trade shows. There are features which should be implemented in the XDJ as well (tag filter, colored wave etc.)
How about the new link? Will this be updated as well to work consistently across the whole cdj/xdj line? (namely the hid over 1 usb....)

Screw any mk2 :-) Its about one year since the xdj 1k release - ditchig the current version would be the dirtiest trick Pioneer could do...
Doubt anyone would sell his year old pair ox XDJ just to buy a new pair of XDJ mk2.......
My opinion: XDJ 2000 (Nexus)
Seeing as how it just turned a year old, I find it impossible to believe that an XDJ-Mk2 will be dropping anytime soon. Pioneer is smart enough to know the backlash it would receive for dropping a revised product so soon after its initial launch. I'm sure a software update will come dropping a (much needed) upgrade to the XDJ-series GUI. The conundrum they're facing now is what to do for a model that between the XDJ-1000 and the CDJ-2000NXS2. It will definitely be a model that's sans disc media drive, but there will have to be other sacrifices made to keep CDJ-2000NXS2 owners from feeling ripped off and something to entice XDJ-1000 to feel like upgrading is a choice rather than a requirement.
