How do I rename cue point colors?

I see in preferences if you rename the colors ie Blue=Day time, but I want to rename the colors that apply to my cue point. i do see where in preferences I am able to do it. Am i missing something?

My goal is to have a  system like

Yellow = intro Loop only beats

Blue = Intro Vocal loop

Green - exit vocal loop

You get the idea i hope.

The named colours aren't for the memory points (which can have the same colours), but rather for the tracks themselves.

Hey, I just moved over to Rekordbox and saw this comment. I'm curious about it too. In his comment above he mentioned wanting to have different colored cue points within a waveform to represent different moments throughout the track. For instance, to me, each color could mean:

Yellow = start of intro or breakdown

Blue = start of a drop

Green = start of the outro

The goal here is to color code the cue points so they show up as the specific colors when loading on CDJs. Is this possible?

No, it doesn't do it automatically -- you can colour them whatever you want, you can also name them, but you can't name the colours, nor can you have them picked up automatically.

Hi Alex,

In Rekordbox after adding a cue point in the top right under the "Memory" area there is a field to add a name/description. if you hover over the far right of the text box you'll have the ability to assign a color to the cue point. It does exactly what I was hoping for it to do.
