XDJ-RX Recording + turntables?

Hi

I'm thinking of getting the Pioneer XDJ-RX but and want to use my 1210 turntables with it.

Does the USB recording feature work when using only with turntables?

Yes it does.  I have an XDJRX and some 1200's hooked up

to it, recording is no problem. I transferred some vinyl to usb

then edited in audacity flawlessly.  The recording on the XDJRX

is hot so keep your meters in the green/low levels and then just

normalize in audacity for s clean high quality transfer.

Thanks very much Rick.

When it records, what file(s) does it save as and when using vinyl/turntables combined with MP3 files, is the sound from vinyl much lower?

Reason I ask is because currently I use Traktor with a DVS box and when switching to vinyl, I have to crank the gain right up to match the electronic/MP3 files.

It records to wav

The sound is level with everything else.  I can't see any difference

when playing an aiff file or straight from vinyl.

Hi, I am digitalizing vinyl with my xdj-rx.  I keep the meters at -6 level in the green en normalize + compress it afterwards in Audacity but the volume is too low compared to the vinyl.  Anyone has experiences to keep the meters higher in the green to optimize the volume of recording (in the orange he clips the recording)

Why at -6?  Because I read an article that -6 is ideal for mastering in Audacity but I experience it as not enough

Is it anyway necessary to use Audacity?  If you record it on the XDJ-RX and afterwards let it analyze by Rekordbox I think it should be enough to play at clubs?
