No sound if i play a track in a preview area in performance mode

Yesterday I had an issue with Rekordbox and reinstalled the software and it's now fine except that when I'm in Performance mode there's no sound if I play a track in the preview area, but if I click on preview in the export mode the track will play fine. I have an iMac 27” late 2011 with 16 GB RAM

You should set headphones output same as master output in preferences.

To answer the suggestion above about headphone output, I cannot find the headphone setting the user is referring to.

Are you using performance mode or export mode? Try switching to performance

I'm in performance mode. I need the preview to work in performance mode.
I went into audio setting and set preview output to channel 1. Not sure why it's not working. But seems others are having the same issue.

Okay, I figured it out.
I had to change Output Preview under audio settings to channel 1 of the mixer. Then don't forget to change the input knob of channel 1 on the mixer to USB A (that's how I have it connected). Preview works for me now.

Yes you're right. It worked. If you're using headphones you have to change the headphones output in the output channels in the audio settings to output 1 and output 2.
