There is currently no method on the DDJ-R's to load or store memory points, only hot cues.
I know that you can set 'hot cues' with the pads on the DDJ-RX, but I'm wondering if you can set 'memory cues' and also toggle back and forth between them?

doesn't look like you can, I don't see anything on that controller for memory points
More disappointment with this controller and only had it out the box a couple of hours! I really use memory cue points a lot. Really disappointed that this important and basic feature is missing!
This "basic" feature is actually an advanced feature and not available on this controller. Convert your memory cues to hot cues and you'll still have all the functionality (actually, more).
ARE YOU GUYS JOKING? So you put this feature on the XDJ-R1 but not on the DDJ- RX which are the same price range. why put a cue button there then? just ad another pad, and call it NO AUTO MEMORY CUE button.
Very very very Disappointed with this feature, on a great product. Hope you guys get this fixed as it is a big let down. as we have to use a good laptop or pc to run the software.
Hmm. I'm starting to think I've jumped ship from Traktor too hastily. I am also trying to set automatic cues and it seems there is no way possible. Automatic loop cues were useful to set at the end of a track just in case someone was talking to me and I ran out of time before mixing the next track...Something that Traktor made so intuitive is a non-option in Rekord box with the DDJ RX. And to make matters worse, judging from the curt responses on these forums, Pioneer is not listening...I really thought the DDJ RX would be better in every way, but now I'm realizing that there are some things lacking.
you mean like an auto loop to loop automatically when it reaches a cue set to do so?
Yes. In Traktor you just set what type of cue you wanted it to be, ie loop, and when it reached that point it would automatically begin to loop how many bars you set it for. I would always set those as an emergency safeguard against the track ending. Apparently it can be done in Rekordbox but not in a way that is compatible with the DDJ RX.
you can save a loop you creat into a memory point and then click the loop icon to make it an "active loop" which will activate automatically when the track hits that point

There isn't a button on the hardware to do it, but you do it within the software, as @BriChi noted.
Can we MIDI map a "set memory cue" action? I have a DDJ-RR and I think I can use shift + param 1 to set it, and shift + param 2 to erase it... It will be awesome!
Well... I was surprised when I read all this answers cause I have a brand new DDJ-RX and I can navigate thru cue memory points using the parameter 1 buttons < > in the controller (right below the loop section buttons)
@Ricardo > Yes, that's now available, we don't typically go back through old topics to update with new information.
