You don't need to upgrade incrementally, you can skip straight to the newest version.
You can use it with the yellow dot provided the network has an IP address. Disable the wifi and see if that helps.
Hi all,
I'm a bit late to party, but I'm trying to update my DJM-900nxs from version 1.21 to version 1.3. As I've done my research, I'm realizing that this is really old firmware - do I need to update each firmware in order? I've gone over the readme and it's not a crazy process but I am sadly facing some issues with my LAN connection. I'm on a mac and one of the requirements is to connect your computer to the mixer via LAN (obviously) but also to ensure that it connects in network settings with a green dot. This is where I am facing troubles. On another side note, I went and bought a new LAN cord, so that's not the issue. When I connect the two devices I'm simply stuck in the yellow within my Network settings. Does anyone know what this issue could be or a way to bypass this and ensure that the connection is there?
Readme can be found here - http://www.pioneerdj.com/en-us/support/software/djm-900nxs/
I am referencing the middle box on instruction 2C. That's where I am stuck.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi All,
Have the same issue try to connect to using ethernet through my thunderbolt with an adapter but light remains amber however is says connected. Switch off WIFI and try to have the firmware installed. It says " Waiting from DJM-900 nexus connection" and there it's where it hangs. Try to install Version 1.31 from 1.30 using a MBP Retina Mac
Turning WIFI OFF helped for me.
