DDJ-SR Left CUE... New Firmware!
Problem: Left CUE, plays right deck track from HOT Cue 1/ beginning of song.
MANY have stated and complained about this same issue with current firmware, seem to be more frequent as I see in posted dates on the forum. I have a 2013 issued DDJ-SR and others have had this problem with newer bought models so clearly it's a firmware issue not a MOTHERBOARD issue. Quality control?!
Tried:
Calling Different Shops: Average to Look at it is $70. Parts and labor could cost more or close to a new DDJ-SR, not to mention the time, 2 weeks to a month wait.
Sending it to Pioneer is a no go. Too many people complain of not getting their controller in time or at all, price, actually getting it fixed and having the same issue continue... not good.
- Create a new firmware!

I tried to induce the issue... the other day I hit the cue button about 1,000 times. It did happen right away... with no burn in or warm up time. I tried hitting the button hard, soft, in the corners, center, sides, pressing hot cue points, sample, roll, slicer, sample all at the same time in a hectic manner and didn't happen again after the first 10-15 minutes. Frustrating!
What I did notice and remember in my last set I had other programs running on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) Yosemite 8gb of RAM on updated VDJ 8,
I think a few office suites were on,
Word,Excel
And other programs
Itunes
Chrome
Possibly Final Cut Pro.
I have a few events coming up and this is what I'll do and get back to you guys with a result.
My Steps of testing
- Turn off all programs,
- Turn off Wifi and Bluetooth
- Restart on the computer
That's all I can do and hope for the best unless there is something else pioneer can tell me.

@Dj Jay > If you're running VDJ8, there's no guarantee you don't have a MIDI signal being sent that's triggering it.

UPDATE: I went crazy for the past 9 months, thinking about buying a new mixer, sending it in to get it checked out (not an option dont recommend it.) but I sat down, opened the manual and went section by section to set up my DDJ-SR while it was in utility settings mode not just turning on and off Serato mode but all of the other features in utilities.
Haven't had a problem so far.

I also changed the usb cable with one of those fancy expensive ones from dj tech tools

How i solve the issue
1.Downgrade firmware from 1.08 to 1.07
2.Upgrade firmware to 1.08 again
3.New usb cable
And now works perfectly
My cable was a fancy Hama,now i use the stock cable and works perfectly

It's possible that your computer is the source of the problem -- try using a different USB port as not all USB ports are created equal and some don't provide adequate bus power to the DDJ-SR, causing it to have these types of errors.
