For recording live DJ sets at a Club it would be AWESOME to use the digital out as a record out (ie. pre-Master Level). I get the impression that most clubs are using the XLR main out, while few are using the digital out as main out. Appears to be cleanest recording option (no extra D/A A/D). If implemented in the mixer's club setup options, everyone wins and no one loses.
Many of the DJM recording threads in this forum suggest using USB and laptop. I prep with a laptop, but play out with just CDJs. Bought a Tascam DR100-mkII with digital in explicitly to record live. Unfortunately, it appears that digital out is affected by Main volume, which typically goes up over the course of an evening. Would be awesome, and a differentiator for Pioneer, to get clean digital recordings in one go.

Sometimes I prefer to record my DJSets in a Marantz Digital recorder from a Rec Out of the Mixer and I think too that It will be perfect if that Rec Out was in a digital quality.
