XDJ-1000 bug with sdj

Im a using xdj-1000 with latest firmware in hid mode with sdj 1.8.1 and im a having an annoying bug that the song suddenly goes back to the start, it happened to me three tims last night and almost ten times since I bought them in December, is that a known bug ? Any solution to this problem ? I can't work with them with this bug..

Hi,

I received a new mail with a workaround from serato to check if I can validate it: 

"A user reported that pressing 'tag list' before playing his set was an effective work-around.
Seeing as you are able to reproduce the issue so consistently, would you mind trying this to see if it helps?"

So I startet a test session:
(0. connect speaker to mixer )
1. power on all devices (XDJs/S9)
2. XDJ go to tag tab (workaround)
3. connect devices to mac
4. start Serato DJ 1.9.2.6551_OSX
5. link XDJs
6. loop at the end of track 
7. start playing on booth decks
 
Played for nearly 3h and the issue didn’t happened! Tomorrow I will do a second test. 
 
Can you please test this workaround too and report it to serato/here?

Six months later do we have a solution for this bug ?

Unfortunately both the Pioneer DJ and Serato DJ teams are working hard to track down the cause of this issue, it's always possible that the latest update of Serato DJ (1.9.2) has a fix for it, although unlisted explicitly, please give it a try and if you still find you have the error, send us the log file as previously requested and we'll do our best to continue the bug hunt.

So this is the correct workaround:

  1. connect speaker to mixer 
  2. power on all devices (XDJs/S9) 
  3. connect devices to mac 
  4. start Serato DJ 1.9.2.6551_OSX 
  5. link XDJs
  6. press 'tag list' on XDJ (work-around)
  7. loop at the end of track 
  8. start playing on booth decks

You have to stay at "tag list" and the issue don't appear anymore!

I'm having a similar issue but not identical.  Using XDJ in HID mode in Serato DJ, and randomly the track will jump forward.  Not to a cue point, just a random point in time in the song.  It will also take whatever song is selected in the library, and select a new song.  So it seems like multiple signals are being sent, one to change the playhead position and one to change the selected song in the library.  Very annoying.  Anyone have any fixes for this or is this included in the hunt for the elusive bug?

 

Using XDJ 1000, Serato DJ 1.9.2, OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, DJM S9.  The XDJ is run through a powered USB hub.

So far so good .... I have played 4hours continuous and no skip back.

SDJ 1.93 and XDJ 1000 - firmware 1.10 in HID mode - lets hope this issue has been fixed
