Have you tried swapping the turntables to make sure they aren't the problem? Have you tried using any other source on that channel, such as a CDJ or even your phone?
Hello
I recently purchased an S9 used. Its in near new condition will very little use. Previous owner used it with CDJs.
My setup. Technics 1200 internal grounded. MBP i7 running 10.10.5, serato 1.8.0, latest mixer firmware.
My problem is that while running serato dj channel A-2 or B-2 has no mids or highs only low frequency. The fist time i turn in on it work for just about one second then drops out. Everything works fine using A-4, B-4, Analog vinyl and line input, its only on A-2 and B-2. There are no effects or filter on. I reinstalled serato, tried 1.8.0 and 1.8.1. Tried reinstalling the driver and updating the firmware. Also tried the recommended CD/Line input on the right side and using the custom settings. I have full function using A-4 or B-4 so I suspect this may be a hardware issue. All inputs on left side are working perfectly.
Any help is well appreciated.

Mark,
Thank you for your quick response. I did try swapping left to right tables. I have the serato control CD at work and will try that tonight. If I move the selector to A-4, B-4 or Phone (using analog vinyl) everything is fine. Not sure if this is a setup or hardware issue.
Hello Mark,
So i tried it with the serato control CDs as well as on internal mode and same issue, no change at all. The signal from the headphones is the same so its not an output issue. Can you suggest any further tests or do I have a bad mixer? If so is it under warranty?
Ok, so we now know that the mixer is where the problem is. I can't say for certain that the mixer is "bad," but I can say that if it is, it's still under warranty since it's less than a year old. When you purchased it from the original owner, did they also give you the sales receipt from the dealer they bought it from?
Hi Mark
I just made a breakthrough a few minutes ago. I downloaded serato dj and the pioneer driver on my girlfriends Mac and everything is working now. We are both running Mac OS 10.10.5. I dont know why mine has an issue but its narrowed down now. Will this mixer work on 10.11.1 as serato dj now does?
@Robert > AWESOME! Yes, the S9 will work with El Cap. Just be sure you have the proper drivers installed. You can find them, and the installation instructions here.
