NEW to Pioneer XDJ-RX if anyone could help :)

Hey everyone, first of all, thanks for stopping by to help! I been mixing with Traktor Pro 2, S4 + X1, S8, and now lucky enough to get a XDJ RX.

I think i got a hold of the basics of Redkordbox already, on going thing lol

But what i really need help is:

Im on Mac OS X 10.9.5, updated latest drive XDJ RX

I've always used Nicecast (app) to stream online, Nicecast works on a basis of providing a sound source, but for the life of me, I cant find a way to route the XDJ RX to provide sound source to Nicecast, Streaming online is a huge part of my mix, if anyone could help with that would be major! YES ive connected the controller to the computer thru a USB cable :))

Every time i load a song on a deck, it goes straight into play, is it a setting to stop that?

Is it a way to jump music in correct phrases? per say: forward 16 beats or rewind 16 beats ?! precise.

Is it a particular setting for delay effects to somewhat sound on beat with the music? (similar to traktor delay)

For manual beat matching is it a good setting i should have with the jog wheels? (sometimes feels like "elastic" (if that makes any sense)

Thanks guys, from my first impressions, im really surprised how nicely the XDJ RX is built, seems like such nice upgrade from my S4 (in some aspects) for the longest time i been looking forward to mix w out software, no laptop.

Hi !

I'm not an expert on this but maybe i can be of some help :

In case of the streaming problem you are reffering to : i don't think there is a way to output your music any way different than the main out (on the actual moment you are playing it) - but maybe a pro user can tell otherwise ? The ethernet (LINK) and USB on the back are not meant for that, i'm sure.

The auto play you can turn of by holding in the TIME MODE button , to the right of the screen A.cue will appear on your screen and songs won't autoplay anymore.

jumping beats question .. no idea ,

on beat delay effect .. i just use the tap button to get it into beat

Mhh settings depends on your own experience i guess.

i guess apparently i might need a Native Instruments Audio 2 or something similar....

strange part is: the sales person who spoke with my partner (who gifted me) said the controller does have an internal soundcard.

The Native Instruments Traktor Audio 2 is an USB audio interface and maybe that could work.

But first you have to check if the USB connector on the XDJ can output your music (and i don't think so) cause the Audio 2 interface only has USB input !

Also check compability ( With XDJ and with your computer software ) cause often there are some troubles there with interfaces ...

Yes XDJ-RX has an internal soundcard so actually connecting it to the Audio 2 interface would be soundcard + soundcard which seems quite unnessary

But like you said there's no way to start routing the soundcard (like for example in a professional mixing table e.g. the midas m32)

I feel like i'm raising more questions here : )

Actually I'm also a bit waiting for a clear answer by pioneer itself .. then we can stop guessing arround : )

thanks for the response RandomShuffle, yeah i thought of the Audio 2 as well "solution", and also did a temporary fix, connecting thru a RCA cable the RX into my S4

Output RX into Input channel C on the S4 and using Deck C as "Live Input" that way i can stream using Traktor as a source of sound BUT:

I'm not sure if i loose any particular nice characteristics of the sound of the RX since its going thru the S4...
