@Pulse After reading about the ability of the NXS2 Send/Return to connect to a device such as the iPad and take advantage of InterApp audio (for use with something like Pioneer's EFX app), is it safe to awesome there will be some MIDI sync (whereas the DJM is Host, iPad is slave) going on behind the scenes? If so, I'm GASing hard thinking about the potential of integrating beatmachine/performance-based apps with the mixer all while having the advantage of maintaining a sync'd clock between the two.
And yes, I've already preordered mine. :-)

I'm not sure what the technique is -- I've been using an in-house trial of the RMX app and had nothing to sync it with, so I can't say for certain how it will work with the USB S/R.
A quick search resulted in a post on StackOverflow about BPM, so I expect it would be included, or what would be awesome (with the RMX app) is exchange of the rekordbox grid data!
"...exchange of the rekordbox grid data!" Now you're talking!! And suddenly my hype-o-meter has increased even more. :) I'll just have to stalk the Pioneer website until the upload the manual or see a new demo video.
I'll have a chance to find out next week at the NAMM Show.

Well, they are "announced," just not available to the public. I can certainly try with my iPad to see if there is any BPM sync taking place ... or ask an engineer. ;)
This is the one thing that has me the most excited about the new djm.... James zabiela says it opens a new dimension! For it to open a new dimension it needs to do bpm sync and exchange grid data. If it's does then Wow!! It's turns that thing into a beast!! Pulse please keeps us posted!
