XDJ-700 Hot Cue skips back to previous track

Hi all,

Hoping you can help me.  I have set hot cues using rekordbox for all my music.  Working fine until today - when I hit hot cue (i.e. A) it skips back to the song I was previously playing to its hot cue (A).

Any ideas what is happening?  Is there a new firmware for the XDJ-700 that may solve this.

Thanks Michael

@Michael > You didn't call the hot cues for the new track. Either set the preferences to auto-load the hot cues any time you load a track, or manually go into the hot cue page and press and hold the CALL button. The advantage of NOT having hot-cues overwritten is you can load a hot cue BANK which has the ability to have a hot cue from any song in your collection stored and ready to fire.

Hi. This is also happening to me but I have turned Hot Cue Auto load on. I have just got the XDJ700's so don't have historical comparison.

My situation is the same with the problem that the hot cues are now flashing and not loading at all untill I take action: For example

Track 1 on Player 1: Track playing and Hot cues on A, B and C. - They all auto load and play back is instant. No issue.

Track 2 ON SAME PLAYER: Track is playing but the hot cues are all Track 1 hot cues. I then press "Call". Track 2 hot cues load now but are flashing. I have to actively press them to load them. When I do that there is a 1-2 second pause and the sound jumps to the hot cue with a delay. This is a nightmare as I don't want to have to press them in order to load them as I don't want the sound to jump to the hot cue yet.

Desperate for help on this one as it's ruined a recording I was just in the middle of.

@Paul > That behaviour is normal; if you aren't auto-loading them, and you manually call them up, you have to press the hot cues for each one you want to load, causing the player to jump to that spot.

I'm sorry the recording was ruined as this happened.

No worries on recording. But the auto load setting is turned on. Shouldn't they auto load rather than me needing to manually press them? Also I was hoping if auto load fails then they would load when I press "Call". But I have to manually press the button which is a nightmare mid track. Is this normal?

If you call the song using a track skip button, instant doubles, or keyword search, the song is loaded with a priority on speed, and as such the hot cue loading preference is ignored. If that's how you're loading the song, that could explain why the hot cues are not loading without being called.

Amazing thanks! Didn't realize that was why. I'll load it via playlist etc
