Cannot hear ouput of CDj via PC

1 djm900

2 cdj 2000s

windows 7 desktop

I've connected the mixer via usb, all 3 are connected via lan.

When I play songs via rekordbox (Channel 1 usb), I can record via audacity on my pc.

When I play via the cdj channels 2 and 3, using a playlist linked from rekord box, I can hear the music fine, but I do not see the wave forms in audacity on my PC, this has always worked but has recently stopped. I have messed with some settings trying to get it to work again to no avail.

It can't be the lan, as the cdjs can read and play from my PCs rekordbox. I can link to rekordbox fine, when the mixer starts up, the pc mixer driver window pops up, so that seems good.

I installed some kind of CDJ program which seemed different from the driver and got the below image.

Any help on debugging would be great thanks. Maybe I inadvertenly changed some setting, I need to broadcast a set soon and this is blocking me.

Thanks for any help,

Tony

Anyone? This is critical to my live streaming.

What works:

1. CDJs can link to rekordbox on the desktop via lan.

2. Rekordbox can play music through the CDJs and out the mixer channels 2 and 3 to the speakers

3. When playing through the rekordbox link to the cdjs I cannot record anything, the audio signal for the djm900 is dead.

@Tony > You need to use the configuration tool for the mixer; the drivers are not necessary for the CDJs if they are connected via LAN.

Check that your output from the mixer is taking the REC OUT and then select that in your streaming software.

Thanks for your response, I've never had it set to REC OUT and its always worked. I did however try this and it did not solve the problem.

This is very similar to another issue I had playing mp3s only when clicking on the waveform in rekordbox. To fix that I did a windows 7 system restore, after that was done, windows did its updates and it still was fixed.

I tried the same thing yesterday, after the system restore to early Jan, it started working again!

Then windows did its windows update and its stopped working again, so its some weird kind of windows thing unfortunately.

You know what I apologize, you were right I thought you meant cables from record out to desktop.

You meant record out on the driver software.

I did that and it still does not work.

I have since upgraded to windows 10 64 bit, and it still does not work.

Am I correct in thinking the reasons is the drivers are not yet 64bit so I can't record via audacity and a program called butt (broadcast using this tool).

If so, when will the 64 bit driver be released?

That's not the problem if you're running 32bit software; the bit-depth of the operating system doesn't affect the software or drivers. What software are you using to broadcast?

I changed 1/2 to rec out and its working, I feel such an idiot, at some point I must of re-installed and all the driver config got reset. I swear though that 1/2 was usb, maybe all this time as I have not touched it in years, it was input I was thinking of and not output.

Thanks!
