Have you created a local symbolic link to that NAS storage location? That could be why they're not found - the software is looking for the full network path and is having trouble loading it.
It is very frustrating that I still cannot get all my Itunes playlists (with all the tracks) synced in Rekordbox 4. Why do more than half of the tracks say "they cannot be found". I have shortened the path to the files considerably, but nothing has changed.
I use Itunes everyday for playing my music. It would be so nice if I could just use those playlists in my DJ sets.
Anybody have any other suggestions what else I could try to fix this?
My Itunes folder is on a NAs Synology diskstation, which works just fine with Itunes on my Imac...

I have exactly the same problem, music on synology too..
not sure why Rekordbox is interpreting the path incorrectly. in Itunes the file path starts with \\NAS\music, in RB it's /NAS/music
/NAS/music is an invalid path
Symbolic Link doesn't work, Rekordbox should support network paths!
Fixed it with a dodgy workaround - Probably could have been done easier, but hey it worked. make sure you backup your itunes first
my workaround was to map the music drive to M:/
change itunes folder to M:/
Find and replace ALL in iTunes Music Library.XML, replace //NAS/Music/ with /M:/Music/
Clear the itunes libarary.itl file in a text editor (Itunes will think its broken and pay attention to your XML file now when you next start it.)
Start itunes, wait for import of xml
Preferences have reset, so go back and Set music folder to M:/Music again, Organise Itunes Library, Copy Files when adding,Share Itunes Library XML with other applications
Restart Rekordbox
works now, (Y)
Network paths are not supported as there is no guarantee of the data's availability or consistency during use.
I agree this shouldn't be used for performance, but there are a handful of us Home users which are using rekordbox with a DJ-Link that don't care for NAS connection/consistency (which- lets face it, is extremely reliable and high availability).
I've experienced no issues with a mapped network drive - which ultimately point to the same target, it would be very little effort to support UNC paths, which would have helped us as iTunes takes UNC path preference.
