Restore database from USB

Hi!

My computer hard drive crashed and I want to recreate my database from my USB.

I've already tried by adding everything from my USB but after adding all my songs I can't see all my cuepoints, hot cues, loops, date added...! The only things I had was the songs and the artwork...

The thing I don't understand is why Rekordbox can't find all the informations (cuepoints, hot cues, loops...) from my USB when my CDJ-2000NXS can find and use them!

So could you help me and tell me how can i restore everything from my USB please.

Thanks!

@Lil Jam > Sorry to hear about that, but unfortunately the export database is just that; an export database, and can't be recovered into a working collection database. The best you can do is restore the music files from the USB drive and rebuild all the hot cues, etc. from scratch.

This is a painful lesson, but it is recommended that you keep at LEAST one backup or duplicate of your music and database. Personally, I have about 5 local and offline copies (including one stored in the cloud, updated in realtime via BackBlaze).

It can't be "just that"!

From an usb database and from a computer database, we have exactly the same information in rekordox!

Rekordox creates usb databases from computer databases, that means rekordox have a tools to convert information! HDD --> USB

The only thing we need is the same tool doing the opposite conversion! USB --> HDD

HDD can crash at any time in any computer, I have exported data backups for a lot of softwares and the only software I can't recover is rekordbox!

So please don't tell me "is just that" cause it's not at all!

Okay, I won't tell you it's "just that," would you prefer if I said "Sorry, it's not possible" ??

Actually it is possible!

If you can do HDD --> USB, you can also do USB-->HDD!

I'm waiting for this for many years and I still don't get why you don't want to do something that much easy and useful!
